We are being asked to comply with all sorts of Government guidelines
and to help prevent the spread of COVID, we are also being asked to go out Monday to Wednesday to eat and help boost the economy, something my wife and I never do (eat out Monday to Wednesday that is)!
On the approach to a local hotel, there were no signs telling us what we should do, and so I proceeded to the bar, picked up a couple of menus, ordered two drinks and went back to join my wife and the two dogs in the garden. It wasn’t until I went back in to order a second drink that I noticed the sign at the bar telling us not to queue at the bar and table service were taking place in accordance with the Government guidelines.
And so in my logical little world, why was I and other guests allowed to queue at the bar without anyone saying anything, and later why were even more people allowed to queue at the bar when the hotel Manager was there and still nothing was said to anyone? So why tell us to do something and comply with those guidelines, help with trade then other than one small notice not make it very visual, then when we do get it wrong why not tell us we are doing wrong?
My little world of logic tells me that can’t be right, but that’s me?
