I have already mentioned COVID-19 and football and it makes me wonder when we see the goalposts and flag poles being disinfected at half time when hardly anyone ever touches them during a game. Yet, players all kiss and cuddle when a goal is scored and that’s okay, but then maybe it’s just me and my way of thinking, more so when I am involved in Health and Safety!
But I am intrigued to know why there are so many people in a stadium during a football match that is only supposed to be for two teams, and of course the other staff? There are so many people dotted about the stadium it makes me wonder, and I just wanted to add my little piece.
First of all, I would like to know who everyone is because I don’t think they’re all needed, but I’m sure they are there for a reason, but I’d also like to know what systems they use for testing people and players?
I ask because if they are testing players, surely they must be testing everyone else or again to me it doesn’t make much sense, and I say that because I see some people wearing masks, and some not. I see substitutes and those sitting in stands wearing masks, and some not. I even saw a cameraman standing on his own with no one near him wearing a mask, and then we see these scenes, so who does what and why do some wear masks and not others.
I see people sitting in the stands seats apart with no masks, and I see people sitting in the stand seats apart wearing masks, then I see people not wearing them properly (as in all walks of life)?
Maybe the strangest one is the fourth official because from what I have seen so far they all seem to have to wear a face covering, yet if the referee got injured and he had to come on he wouldn’t have to wear a mask as none of the match officials do!
So he can stand on the side-lines on his own wearing a mask, then come onto the pitch and be surrounded by players protesting with no mask on! Now once again, it might be me, but in my little world of logic and Health and Safety, that does not make sense. But then a lot of what goes on with this pandemic doesn’t make sense! Have I told you about my Butcher, well I have on twitter?
Thank you for reading and stay safe
Anxiety is prominent in today's society, we hear it mentioned more and more, probably with more people suffering from the condition with the COVID pandemic amongst us. I suffered and suffered quite badly and I wanted to put my story and my experiences out there for the world to read, and so to do that I created this site (at least Dan did)! It also allows me to follow my love of writing. I hope I can help someone, and I hope you can enjoy reading my posts. Thank you
