We’ve just been downtown for a walk, my wife to get some supplies and me to visit the local bookmakers, there’s usually only one winner but I’m fortunate that I can walk away and never chase my losses. I have some spare cash each week, and where my wife goes to Matalan, Next or M&S, I go to Coral’s or Ladbrokes, for me it is fun. My horse bets are rarely more than £1.40 my football bets £1 a coupon. I do spend money on roulette, and so far since re-opening, I am quite a few pounds up, let’s hope it stays like that!
And so pre-virus the final check before leaving the house was keys, wallet & phone. Now it is Keys, wallet, phone and face mask and I must admit everyone I saw in a shop was wearing a mask. But my wife pointed out when she went into the butchers the butcher’s staff weren’t wearing any. Now go back to my criticism of the serving staff, barbers and hairdressers not wearing masks, I’m afraid it’s the same for any shop serving staff too. What is the difference between these people and their customers because I can’t see it, and more so when serving staff are handling, and practically breathing onto the item their customers are buying, not to mention a little cough or sneeze. What if serving staff had the virus but didn’t know, where do the germs go?
Anyway, that’s my thoughts on the matter, I’m not saying the masks prevent you from catching the virus, but if you’ve got it and many people won’t know they have it to start, they must help you stop spreading it and therefore putting other people at ease!
Thank you for reading and stay safe
Anxiety is prominent in today's society, we hear it mentioned more and more, probably with more people suffering from the condition with the COVID pandemic amongst us. I suffered and suffered quite badly and I wanted to put my story and my experiences out there for the world to read, and so to do that I created this site (at least Dan did)! It also allows me to follow my love of writing. I hope I can help someone, and I hope you can enjoy reading my posts. Thank you
