As you may know, depending on what you have read, we were in London last weekend, and as always when I am away I took lots of photographs, which is a bit of a hobby of mine and please excuse the quality of the photo snip but I was taking photos for effect rather than just plain old snaps, and so please find a photo of that famous landmark that is Big Ben, taken on Friday 7th February. It was strange to see the old building covered in scaffolding and cladding but I believe it is in need of some repair.
It was, therefore, interesting this morning watching the news on the BBC and listening to the interview they did with the Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick. But more interesting was the sudden change to Big Ben, it is hard to believe that it has changed so much in less than a week, and we have to give credit to the workmen for doing such a good job in such a short period of time.
You can maybe detect the little bit of sarcasm in that last paragraph and it was intended. C’mon BBC stop the misleading images and messages that are being sent around the world that states ‘visit London, all is well’ when it is not quite the case. I don’t think people mind so much when they know the truth, we can always work around the truth when it’s misleading we just don’t know. It is not a still image but in fact a video as you could see vehicles moving in the background, and so giving the impression it is live footage!
Surely there are other video images that show the real London that the BBC News could use as a backdrop and that tells a true story. Admittedly the BBC didn’t state that the video background is up to date or not, but by showing a video it certainly gives the impression that it is live and again, all is well!
Another photo found today from today
Anxiety is prominent in today's society, we hear it mentioned more and more, probably with more people suffering from the condition with the COVID pandemic amongst us. I suffered and suffered quite badly and I wanted to put my story and my experiences out there for the world to read, and so to do that I created this site (at least Dan did)! It also allows me to follow my love of writing. I hope I can help someone, and I hope you can enjoy reading my posts. Thank you
